Product: Live Genovese Basil
Description: Basil has been cultivated there for thousands of years. It was thoroughly familiar to ancient Greeks. It is best known as a culinary herb prominently featured in Italian cuisine, and also plays a major role in Southeast Asian cuisines. The leaves may taste somewhat like anise, with a strong, pungent, often sweet smell.

Uses: Great for cooking and making pesto.
How it Comes: We sell our plants “live; i.e., with the roots attached.
Storage: Store at room temp. DO NOT refrigerate.
- Water Storage: You can keep in a glass of water for 1-2 weeks. Only cover the 1/2 inch of roots.
- Room Storage: store leaves in a zip lock bag.
Using: Cut leaves and dispose of stems. If you do not want to use the whole plant right away, cut from the top down.
